Project Spotlight: Canadian Trade House – Bigger Bites

Client: Canadian Trade House Industry: Convenience Foods (Frozen Breakfast & Lunch Items)

The Challenge

Many years ago, Canadian Trade House was looking to expand their product line with gas-flushed and frozen items tailored for convenience store distribution. The goal was to create appealing, ready-to-eat options for both breakfast and lunch that met shelf-life and packaging standards under their in-house brand of Big Hill Sandwiches.

We ended up working with Canadian Trade House for many years, until earlier this year they wanted to rebrand to an improved look and name, Bigger Bites, as well as change their SKU set.

Our Solution

We partnered with their team to:

  • Produce the new product line to meet quality and safety standards

  • Support a packaging transition, ensuring logistics and distribution remained smooth

  • Provide ongoing assistance with label updates to meet Canada’s Front-of-Pack (FOP) nutrition labeling laws coming into effect in January

Overcoming Challenges

Navigating the packaging change required careful coordination across production and logistics. Additionally, adapting labels to meet new Canadian regulations has been a collaborative effort — one that ensures Bigger Bites remains compliant and retail-ready.

The Impact

With our support, Canadian Trade House is well-positioned to launch compliant, high-quality frozen meals that cater to the convenience store market, with breakfast and lunch options that are both tasty and accessible.
